One of the most iconic, cinematic images, from the last fifty years, has to be that of “Mother” from Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. The moment that chair slowly turns around and we see that Mrs. Bates is in fact a decayed corpse and not the matriarchal Svengali we were led to believe— is a classic horror movie moment. We here at Girls and Corpses magazine began to wonder, what ever happened to the “Mother” corpses from the various Psycho films, and could we get them together for a Mother’s Day brunch?
